Workshop Repairs
Staffords main workshops are at its Head Office in Liverpool along with the parts and machine warehouse, storage and distribution centre.
Structure
The Workshop Repair area is split into 2 with an Electronic and Electro Mechanical Repair shops. There is an overall workshop manager who reports to the Service Director with Supervisors covering the Electronic Workshop and The Electro Mechanical Workshop. Engineers, as is far as possible, are crossed trained to enable full utilisation of the resources available to this part of the Staffords service offering. If necessary then we will call in Field Engineers to alleviate any excessive build up of Workshop Repairs.
Our Workbench systems in both areas allow engineers to interact with manufacturers systems. This allows Staffords to access the latest schematics of new equipment and provides unlimited access to manufacturers’ technical knowledge bases, updates and fault bulletins. Conversely we also provide manufacturers updates as we discover and find solutions to product faults.
Electronic Repair Centre
Primarily used for the full range of Electronic repairs on television, DVD, LCD and Plasma. Our fully equipped workshop and testing facilities ensure that all types of repair can be readily undertaken and that all repairs are fully tested before release.
We constantly review and invest in the latest diagnostic and repair technology and methods. This ensures that we have one of the most efficient repair centres available to manufacturers, distributors and dealers. This allows us to maintain our technical standards in a rapidly changing industry.
Electro Mechanical Repair Centre
The main focus is to repair Shredders, printers, faxes, scanners and now a range of vacuum cleaners, coffee machines and microwaves. The same philosophy applies as to the Electronic workshop with a full range of testing equipment to ensure that repairs are carried out effectively, efficiently and economically.
A full range of parts are held to enable us to complete repairs as quickly as possible and with 15 engineers in this section, which can again be supplemented by Field Engineers if necessary, means that resources are available to complete the task in hand.
Training
Staffords are committed to ongoing training of its entire technical staff. This comprises of “on the job” training, manufacturers training courses either at their training centres or on line. We also have a strategy of “train the trainers” where an engineer will have a responsibility to be trained on a particular aspect of equipment and then will have the responsibility to train his colleagues. We also send a number of our engineers on day release or college to do electronics, mechanical or supervisory courses.
